Transportation
Depending on where your planning on going, different transportation may be preferred. Some people like to take road trips and just drive off for many hours and enjoy every minute of it, while other hate it and make the decision to fly. Then there's the over seas, either you can fly across the oceans or maybe if you want to try something new, thin about taking a cruise and experiencing things from a different view. each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Cruise
advantages:
- something new
- possibility of seeing water animals
- good service (food, entertainment etc.)
disadvantages:
- slower
- sea sick?
- possibility of thinking of the movie titanic too much!
Flying
advantages:
- fast
- rather easy to do
disadvantages:
- not very good food
- uncomfortable (unless of course in first class)
- no movable space
Road Trip
advantages:
- spending quality time with friends\family
- getting to stop where ever and when ever
- your own time limit
disadvantages:
- driving yourself
- being stuck in a small vehicle
Wow! You have made many posts. I can see you are extremely passionate and practical about travel. You made some interesting comments about Lebanon and the war torn village. What an experience to witness the remains of such a devastating conflict. I am sure those images and thoughts will stay with you forever.
ReplyDeleteMost of your writing is well presented. Just make sure to watch for grammatical errors and sentence structure. I am impressed with your travel tips. I took a cruise once because I really wanted to see Alaska. My husband sails boats offshore so seasickness was not even a consideration for him. I, on the other hand, totally underestimated the swells and really had a couple of rough days when we were more out in the open. Everyone should be fore-warned tnat even if you are usually good out on the water, cruise sickness can really sneak up on you :)
We spent the entire year last year traveling around with a backpack. These are a few places we hit.
Italy, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Beijing, Argentina, Cuba, Belize, Los Cabos, Alaska, BC....Just listing them brings back great memories. As you said in one of your posts, it is so important to create and capture these memories.
Keep posting! I hope you get to see the world!

PS Especially liked the tip about a shopping trip - bring an near empty suitcase :)
